Make practice fun = practice more = improve faster

The quickest way to scrape shots off your scores is to work on improving your putting, in particular putts within 6 foot. This game below is used by many tour professionals to improve putting statistics and lower scores.

  1. Pick a hole with a flat surface.
  2. Take 4 balls and place each one 3 feet from the hole at North, South, East and West.
  3. Carry out your regular pre shot routine and attempt to sink each putt.
  4. After 4 shots move out to 4 feet from the hole and then to 5 feet. This gives a total of 12 putts.

Record your putts. To win the game you need to sink 10 out of 12 putts. Allow yourself no more than two complete cycles to win the game. The tour average from 3 to 5 feet is 88% or just over 10.5 putts out of 12.

Once you can sink 10 out of 12 putts, choose a slightly more challenging hole and repeat.

See how you compare and challenge your friends.
